The aim of our Leisure Department is to make your learning experience in Malta even more enjoyable during your time with us.​
Adult Leisure Programme
provides interesting and exciting activities for students aged 18 and over. Leisure Team carefully plans and organises all the activities, and aims to entertain and educate the students while joining the varied excursions. We offer a choice of services to our students such as bus route assistance, general advice on the Maltese culture and local events, etc. Transport and guided tours are also available on request.
The activities vary from historical tours, Gozo and Comino on a boat, parties, swim in Malta’s rich waters and much more! Check out our sample programme for a sneak preview of our fun activities.
Ultimate Fun Activity Package
There are thousands of ways you could spend summertime in Malta. The IELS 'Ultimate Fun' activity package ensures that young adults make the most of their time outside the classroom with people of similar ages and interests.
Our hand-picked excursions guarantee unforgettable experiences.
Available during summer months only for students between the age of 18 and 25. Please refer to Price List for the dates. The package can be prebooked with an adult course of your choice or can be booked on site at the leisure desk. Check out our sample programme.
Young Learner Leisure Programme
Our teen students (young learners) follow a stricter activity schedule due to that fact that their safety is our priority. On activities they are always accompanied by an IELS Activity Leader who ensures to guide and care for them. All the activities for our young learners are compulsory, hence the Teen Programme is set up in a manner to keep our young students happy and entertained. Check out our sample programme.
Welfare
Our Welfare Department is dedicated to ensuring you have a happy, problem-free stay. They are ready to help with visas, general issues and health problems. They give our students constant care and support. The team also takes care of our Young Learners' safety and well-being from the moment they arrive until they are back at the airport. When it comes to our students, we have very strict procedures in place to keep them safe.
A 24/7 emergency helpline is also available.
Airport Transfers
We offer transfers on arrival and on departure between Malta International Airport and your accommodation at any time of the day and on any day. There’s nothing better after a long flight than hopping into a car and having a driver take you directly to your hotel.

Travel Insurance
Guard.me International Insurance provides IELS students with international travel medical insurance coverage while traveling, studying or living outside of their home country.
